Funding for Chanthaburi-P Penh route gets nod
Thailand has agreed to a Cambodian request to help fund construction of a
road linking Chanthaburi province to Phnom Penh through Cambodia's Koh Kong
province, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said yesterday.
The asphalt road would cost about Bt700 million, which Thailand would give
to Cambodia in the forms of grants and low-interest loans, Thaksin said.
The request was made when Thaksin met Hun Sen on the sidelines of the 8th
Asean Summit meeting.[End]
