Visa Information

All overseas conference participants must have a valid visa before boarding the plane to Australia. It is not possible to apply for a visa on arrival.

Depending on the country in which your passport is issued, you will require either a Short Validity Business ETA or a Business (Short Stay) Visa (including those holding diplomatic passports). These visas are intended for visits of up to 3 months. Please refer to the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship Business Visitor Visa Information Sheet for information on which type of visa you need to apply for and the process for visa application.

For those applying for the 'Subclass 456 - Business (Short Stay) Visa' it will assist your visa application process if you notify the conference coordinators that you will require this type of visa when registering, so that we can provide your details and registration confirmation to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
