Teaching and learning the Mekong: beyond an area studies approach
Part One Perspectives, linkages, commonalities and differences
in pedagogy of the Mekong. This session
will share approaches to teaching about development, livelihoods and the
environment in the context of the Mekong, drawing on the experience of
educators from a number of regional universities in five Mekong countries
as well as from beyond the Mekong.

Teaching and learning the Mekong: beyond an area studies approach
Part Two Learning lessons and field based approaches. This session
will examine how experience of development in the Mekong shapes teaching
and learning, and how these lessons can be shared across borders and institutions.
It will also
examine a range of field-based approaches in the wider context of universities
engagement at the societal and community level in different Mekong countries.
