International conference
on "Mekong mainstream dams: People's voices across borders"
The international conference on "Mekong mainstream dams: People's
voices across borders" was held on 12-13 November 2008 at Chulalongkorn
University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Main organisers of the conference included:
Foundation for Ecological Recovery (FER)/ Towards Ecological Recovery
and Regional Alliance (TERRA)
Thailand's National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)
Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute (CUSRI)
The AMRC was one of the co-hosts for the conference and
organised a plenary on the 'Governance and Knowledge Role of the Mekong
River Commission (MRC) with respect to Mekong mainstream dams'. Below
