Hydropower Development in the Se San Watershed

With the SeSan River becoming one of the more prominent areas of contestation in the Mekong Basin there was an increase in written material from a number of stakeholders in the region. This website was researched and developed by I-Ling Chin as part of her Masters degree, with additional support by Chris Wendeyer, to bring to gether some of the details emerging from the area.

Looking specifically at the hydropower development of the Yali Falls project in Vietnam and the downstream implications in neighbouring Cambodia, the Se San Watershed case study provides insight into a number of social, political and environmental considerations that need to be included in any transboundary development project.
